# Crossfade

> Crossfade is the release control plane built for coding agents. An agent (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex…) ships to production through one safe tool — MCP or HTTP — instead of raw host APIs. Crossfade runs pre-flight (checks green on the exact commit, what changed per service, migration risk, env drift), applies the team's policy in .crossfade/release.yml, deploys once, confirms each service runs the exact commit (version gates, health gates, canary and soak), verifies production and rolls back automatically. Open source; hosted at https://crossfade.sh (invite-only).

Agents self-approve routine releases when the policy allows; schema changes and risky releases wait for a person. Proven today on GitHub, Cloudflare Workers and Render, with Railway in beta; other hosts are coming soon.
